Franklin Park‘s story is surely familiar to many small-business owners. After a successful opening in Crown Heights, Brooklyn, in 2008 and expansions that included the addition of Dutch Boy Burger, its Web presence was out of date. The bar’s site needed a new design and was hard to update, the restaurant only had a one-page placeholder, and the social media presence for both needed an overhaul. That’s where I came in.
Working with the owner, I conceived the new sites, built them from scratch, wrote the copy, trained the staff to make updates and did the back-end work to make the existing domains point to the new sites. I also converted the bar’s Facebook page to a business timeline, established Dutch Boy on Facebook and merged existing Facebook pages for both establishments. The sites are now optimized for search engines and fully responsive to fit any screen.
